01If the fault comes backwarranty
What was doneWhat it looks like if it comes backCoverWhy
New part fittedRobot #5 power socket and switchThe hand does nothing at all. No lights and no movement when you switch it on, the same as when it arrived.60 daysA new component, correctly fitted.
Rewiring, calibration, reassemblyEvery robot worked onIt moves, but it stands wrong. A joint sits at an angle it should not, or the robot leans, or it drifts back off centre after being set.30 daysWorkmanship, with no new part involved.
Rebonded gearRobot #3 servo 2, Robot #1 servo 7The joint still moves when told to, but gives way under weight. The foot or the arm returns to the same wrong position every time, and setting it again does not hold.30 days on labourThis is the one to watch for. Read the note below.
BatteriesEvery packThe robot switches itself off part-way through moving, or the charger shows green while the robot still cuts out under load.7 daysFaulty on arrival only. Cells wear out, and these packs are already old.

Please read this one

Two joints were repaired by rebonding the output gear, because replacement servos were not available. Both work and both were tested. They are repairs, not new parts, and a bonded gear carries the full force of the servo. If one slips again inside 30 days the labour is free.

One battery to watch

Robot #3's cell 2 reads 3.692 V against 4.13 and 4.14 in the other two. Nothing has failed and the robot walks fine. That cell is weaker than its neighbours and will likely need replacing before them. It is measured and dated here, and it is not part of this repair.

Sending something back

If a repair needs looking at again, send the robot together with the next batch coming in for work rather than on its own.

Not covered

  • Faults in parts we did not work on
  • Drops, liquid, or over-tightening
  • Forcing a joint while the robot is powered
  • Anything after someone else opens the robot
  • Normal battery wear. A pack lasts roughly 150 to 700 charge cycles depending on how hard it is worked
02Termsthe agreement

Scope. Six Hiwonder robots, received 13 August 2026. Work started on them before any price was agreed, which suited us both at the time. This page sets out what that work came to.

Payment. This is a quote, not an invoice. Every figure here is open to discussion and nothing is fixed until we agree it between us.

Warranty. 60 days on new parts fitted. 30 days on labour, repairs and calibration. Rebonded gears on Robot #3 servo 2 and Robot #1 servo 7 carry 30 days on labour only, for the reason given above. Batteries 7 days, faulty on arrival only.

Not covered. Faults in parts not worked on. Impact, liquid or misuse. Work by others. Normal battery wear, which is roughly 150 to 700 charge cycles depending on how hard a pack is worked. Robot #3's cell 2 is measurably weak and is expected to need replacing. This is recorded and is not part of the repair.

Condition on arrival. How each robot arrived is recorded and dated in the report. Please confirm you have read it.

Shipping. A robot goes back as soon as it is repaired and tested. If something needs to come back under warranty it travels with the next robot due in for work where there is one, and we arrange it separately where there is not.
